About Us – Driving Agricultural Innovation Nationwide
Founded in 2021 in Lahore by a coalition of agronomists, journalists, and technologists, AgroPlanet emerged to fill a critical gap: Pakistan’s farmers and agri-enterprises lacked a unified, reliable source for agricultural intelligence. Recognising the diversity of our country’s agro-ecological zones—from Punjab’s wheat belts to Balochistan’s dryland farming—we developed a multilingual platform offering region-specific weather forecasts, pest-and-disease alerts, and best-practice crop calendars. Our editorial team, comprising seasoned reporters and extension specialists, curates exclusive interviews with government officials, research scientists, and leading agribusiness CEOs to bring you policy insights and market forecasts ahead of every crop season.
In parallel, our tech division created interactive calculators for fertilizer dosing, irrigation scheduling, and ROI planning, integrating satellite imagery and IoT sensor data where available. We’ve partnered with over 50 agricultural universities and research stations to host online webinars, publish open-access studies, and distribute downloadable agritech manuals. Community engagement is core to our mission: our mobile-friendly forum enables farmers to share field experiences, troubleshoot challenges, and co-create localized solutions. To date, AgroPlanet serves over 100,000 monthly users, and our subscriber base continues to grow as we expand coverage into remote districts and introduce Punjabi, Sindhi, and Pashto language modules.
